3 Years Warranty Auto Gate Package
When you’re looking to install an automatic gate, besides seeking a reasonably price, you’d also want to know how many years of warranty the autogate comes with. Some experts like to attract customers by offering low prices and a multi-year warranty as a selling point for their autogate promotion. However, if the auto gate malfunctions, it can sometimes be challenging to find them, with various excuses.
Mrs. Lee contacted us today, as when she tried to leave her house this morning, the autogate suddenly wouldn’t open. There wasn’t any rain or thunderstorms yesterday, and she couldn’t figure out why her autogate wouldn’t work. Mrs. Lee told us that she was attracted by an online advertisement from an autogate company last year. The company claimed to be offering a special autogate promotion, providing a 3 year warranty for the autogate for free. So, she decided to sign up the auto gate package to enjoy the three-year autogate warranty.
Autogate Strike By Lightning
It’s quite strange that she had her Autogate installed for just over a year, and it’s still under warranty. So why would she ask us for help with autogate repairs? As it turns out, her Autogate was struck by lightning twice. It’s a well-known fact that when an automatic gate is damaged by lightning, it isn’t covered by the warranty. Therefore, the first two times she had to pay for the replacement of Autogate parts and labour, and autogate repair costs are not cheap, mind you. So, she had to pay for the repairs the first two times.
When Mrs. Lee had a problem with her autogate for the first time, she thought the warranty would pay for the repairs. But, to her surprise and disappointment, the contractor said a lightning strike had broken the auto gate system, the warranty wouldn’t cover the repair costs. She had no choice but to pay for the repair, even though she didn’t want to.
A few months later, Mrs. Lee found that her left autogate arm motor wouldn’t open. She called the contractor, hoping it would be fixed under warranty. But, once again, the contractor blamed it on a supposed lightning strike, and she had to pay for the auto gate repairs cost.
Looking for Free Autogate Repair
Mrs. Lee had a problem with her automatic gate again. Both swing arm autogate motors are not working. She thought it could be fixed for free because of the 3-year warranty from the contractor. Since there was no rain or thunderstorms yesterday, she believed that this time, she could get a free repair for her autogate.
She contacted the company that installed her automatic gate again. They arrived at her house to check the auto gate system. Since it didn’t rain yesterday, she thought this time they might be able to repair her swing arm autogate for free. The gate installer opened the control box, and the circuit board inside was burnt. This time, they once again informed Mrs. Lee that the Autogate wasn’t under warranty. But her hope turned to disappointment. The contractor came up with another excuse, saying that the reason was rats chewing through the autogate wires had caused a short circuit, again no warranty for auto gate repair!
Mrs. Lee couldn’t help but feel cheated by the autogate contractor. Every time she asked for a free warranty autogate repair, the seller blamed that lightning had struck her auto gate system to avoid warranty claim. This happened three times, and she got tired of it. When the contractor offered to fix her autogate for RM 450, she said no.
Repairing Autogate Wires and Auto Gate Control Board
Mrs. Lee was extremely disappointed and refused to let them repair her swing autogate again. She planned to find a more reputable autogate company to fix her autogate. So, through a friend’s recommendation, she decided to hire our auto gate technician to inspect and repair the swing auto gate arm system. When our electric gate technician examined it, as soon as he opened the electric gate control box, he could smell a burnt odour. After looking more closely at the messy autogate wires, it was clear that someone had been careless.
