Shah Alam Autogate Repair – We Fixed 2 Neighbouring Houses in One Day

This happened last week, sorry for the late update. We have been busy handling the arrival of new Tronica Autogate stock. Recently, our team was called to Shah Alam to repair a swing autogate that was not functioning properly. According to the homeowner, a strong lightning strike had caused a power trip in the house. After the electricity supply was restored, the customer tried to open the autogate but found that it would only open slightly before stopping.

The customer contacted several autogate repair companies in Shah Alam but did not receive any response. Even the original installer who had installed the system years ago could not be reached.
Fortunately, a neighbour recommended EE Automation and arranged an appointment for the next day. Interestingly, that neighbour was also facing a similar autogate problem after heavy rain. We had previously installed a Tronica autogate system for him.

That meant we had two autogate service jobs side by side, one for our existing customer and another for a new customer.

Before heading to Shah Alam, our technicians prepared a variety of autogate spare parts, including control boards, transformers, backup batteries, remote controls, receivers, and autogate arms. We always carry multiple spare parts in our service vehicles to ensure repairs can be completed on the spot whenever possible.

First House – Faulty Transformer

We started with our existing customer’s autogate system. After checking the system, we found that the autogate transformer had burnt out and was no longer working. We replaced it with a new 240V to 12V autogate transformer.

The customer also requested a replacement backup battery. He told us that the battery had never been changed since we installed the Tronica autogate system six years ago. Once the transformer and battery were replaced, the autogate was working normally again.

Second House – Damaged Control Board

After completing the first repair, we moved to the neighbour’s house. When we opened the autogate control box, we found that the control board had been damaged. We also noticed that there was no backup battery inside the system. The homeowner explained that a previous repairer had removed the battery but never replaced it because they did not have a suitable replacement available.
To solve the problem, we installed a new autogate control board and added a new backup battery.
After testing the system, the autogate was back to normal and operating smoothly.
