You Pay First….
This morning we saw a facebook post from a well known electrician. In his post, he wrote: ‘You want me to come, you Pay First… No Money, No Talk… very easy, right?” We understand his frustration and the lack of trust in customers. Many contractors have faced similar issues, where customers often drag out payments with excuses, which is why it’s hard to trust them. This is one of the comments: ‘My house is here, why are you worried?’ That’s what the owner said. After the inspection, the owner will clean the floor, have supper, claim there’s no phone coverage, and come up with all kinds of excuses. Then they promise to transfer the payment later, ask you to leave first, and delay the payment.” Referring to this comment we’ve had the same experience few times already. Let me share some stories below.
Trusted Autogate Repairer In Klang Valley
This electrician is quite active on social media and always posts something useful. We actually know each other and sometimes refer jobs to one another. What we know is that this electrician has earned many certificates from colleges and universities, and he is highly qualified. He’s also very good at troubleshooting and rectifying problems. He invests heavily in expensive multimeters and tools to diagnose and troubleshoot the problems homeowners face. We admire his positive mindset and respect him for it. From the way he does things, we can tell this guy won’t play dirty tricks because everything is recorded in his videos and shown publicly. He always catches and criticizes those electricians who play tricks and get caught. His commitment to transparency and honesty in his work has earned him the trust and respect of his peers. He believes in constantly improving his skills and stays up to date with the latest technologies in the industry, which makes him a reliable choice for any electrical project. From the tools and materials the electrician uses, you can immediately tell if he’s up to standard. The same goes for autogate repairers. If you see that he has autogate spare parts in his car or van, then you know he’s serious about his autogate business. Based on this, we know that this autogate repairer can be trusted and is reliable.
Why Autogate Companies Decided to Change Our Payment Policy
We face the same issues as well. We’ve had similar experiences, and let us share some of our encounters here.
Let us start with a story about a customer in USJ, Subang Jaya. This customer got us to replace his underground autogate system with our ZKRON 929 swing arm autogate. While our autogate technician was in the middle of the swing arm autogate installation, the customer suddenly asked him to move all the tools and arm auto gate equipment aside so he could drive his car out. Our autogate installer quickly told him that it was almost done and would only take another 30 minutes. We told him that we had three more customers to attend to. The customer agreed and said he would just go nearby to grab some take-away lunch and come back. After the installation was done, we called the owner to come back, and he said he was on his way. Thirty minutes later, we called again, and he still said he was on the way. Another 30 minutes passed, and when we called again, he said he was at the car workshop. We were like, ‘What the heck? You told us to wait, but you went to repair your car?’ After that, the customer called and told us to leave first. He said he would come back home after repairing his car. Once he checked everything and confirmed it was okay, he would transfer the payment to us. But, he didn’t do so and delayed the payment for almost a week. In the meantime, the next customer had been waiting for so long that they wanted to cancel the appointment and find someone else to take over.
Real Reasons Customers Don’t Want To Make Payment
Attempting to Avoid Payment: Customers often hesitate to make a payment or deposit because they want to test you out first. They’re not sure if the service is right for them. If you do something they don’t like or feel is not worth it, they might refuse to pay.
Testing The Water: Like people say Some customers want to “test water” may want to try the service before committing fully, thinking that they can avoid payment if they’re not satisfied.
Manipulating the service provider: They may try to get the service completed first, then delay or refuse payment by claiming dissatisfaction or using other excuses.
Exploiting Trust: Customers with bad intentions may know that it’s difficult for small businesses or contractors to take legal action over a small amount, so they use that to avoid paying.
Taking Advantage of the Lack of a Clear Payment Structure: If a business doesn’t establish clear terms for deposits or final payments, customers with bad intentions may delay or refuse payment when the work is done.
