Happy Mid-Autumn Festival: A Day of Autogate Installation and Emergency Repairs in KL & Selangor

Today is the Mid-Autumn Festival, a special time for families to get together, enjoy mooncakes, have tea, admire the moon and spend time with one another. But for those of us who work with Autogate installation and repair every day, customers may still need our help. So, when there is a job to attend to, we continue working.

Today, the EE Automation team had three different jobs in three different locations. From installing a new Tronica 727 Autogate in Bandar Rimbayu, to an emergency repair at a factory in Klang after its electric gate was hit by a lorry, and then to Damansara to troubleshoot a Dnor 212 Autogate that could no longer open or close.

Every job is different, and it reminds us that Autogate work is not simply about installing a motor and leaving.

Bandar Rimbayu: Installing a New Tronica 727 Autogate

Our first stop today was Bandar Rimbayu, where our team installed a brand-new Tronica 727 Autogate system for a customer. This customer was recommended to us by a home designer / ID. We would like to thank the designer for introducing EE Automation to the customer, and of course, thank the customer for trusting us with the installation.

Before installing a new Autogate, we always check the condition of the gate itself. Is the gate opening and closing smoothly? Are the hinges still working properly? Are the gate rollers worn out or damaged? Is the gate too heavy or out of alignment? All these things can affect how the Autogate works later.

Sometimes, a customer may think the Autogate motor is the problem, when the actual problem is the gate itself. A damaged gate roller, tight hinge or heavy gate can make the motor work harder than it should. If the gate does not move smoothly, even a new motor may not perform as expected. That is why, besides Autogate installation, we also handle many types of gate repair work. This includes gate roller replacement, gate hinge repair, gate welding, gate alignment and repairs to old gates. If an old gate is badly damaged or no longer suitable for repair, we can also help with a new gate installation. After completing the work in Bandar Rimbayu, it was time to head to our second customer a factory in Klang.

Klang Factory Emergency Gate Repair, Then On to Damansara

Our second job was at a factory in Klang. Early this morning, a large lorry accidentally hit the factory’s electric gate. The impact caused a problem with the existing DEA sliding gate motor. Since the gate is used as an important entrance and exit for the factory, the customer needed an urgent repair.

And today is the Mid-Autumn Festival, so traffic was heavier than usual. After finishing the Bandar Rimbayu installation, our team had to make our way to Klang as quickly as possible.
At the factory, we needed to check the gate, motor, gate rollers, track and the overall position of the gate. When a large vehicle hits a gate, the problem may not be the motor alone. The gate may become bent, the rollers may move out of position, the track may become uneven, or the whole gate may no longer be properly aligned.

If these problems are not fixed, simply changing the motor may not solve the problem. This is why, when we repair an Autogate, we first look for the actual cause before deciding whether a part needs to be repaired or replaced, or whether the gate itself needs attention. After completing the urgent repair at the Klang factory, we still could not call it a day. Our third customer was waiting for us in Damansara. The customer in Damansara has a folding gate. Since Tuesday, the Autogate had been getting slower and slower. Today, the problem became more serious—the Dnor 212 Autogate could no longer open or close at all.

This type of problem requires proper troubleshooting at the site. We need to check the power supply, control system, motor and remote control, as well as the gate itself. If the gate rollers are not moving smoothly, the hinges are too tight, or there is too much resistance when the gate moves, the motor may have to work harder and eventually stop operating properly. This is why Autogate repair is not simply about seeing that the motor is not moving and immediately replacing it with a new one.

We first need to understand what is actually causing the problem. Only then can we decide whether the motor needs repair, a particular part needs to be replaced, or the gate itself needs to be repaired. This also helps the customer understand what is really happening with their Autogate.

EE Automation and the Team: Time to Go Home for the Mid-Autumn Festival

There are still more jobs waiting for us. But after today’s work is completed, we also want to head home. Because today is not just another working day. Tonight is the Mid-Autumn Festival. After a full day of travelling between Bandar Rimbayu, Klang and Damansara, checking gates, repairing motors and solving Autogate problems, we also look forward to going home, having some mooncakes and tea with our families, and enjoying a little time together under the moon.

Work is important to us, and so is the trust our customers place in us. But being able to go home and spend a special evening with our own families is also something we value.
